The instant I first cast a line with my late father back in the early ’70s, an obsession was ignited that has never waned. Starting with the basics, I quickly learned various methods of fishing, from trotting a float down a fast-flowing stream to casting a lead on a blustery beach – I was hooked on it all.
Like many of my generation, my fishing journey progressed, and eventually I found myself drawn to the challenge of the legendary carp. Even now, I relish every aspect of this wonderful pastime, but for many years, my focus has predominantly been on the pursuit of these magnificent fish. In the early days, I began experimenting with creating my own baits, and quickly became fascinated with the possibilities this opened up.
I was fortunate enough to meet Keith and David many years ago, and through our shared passion, we’ve formed a close bond that has lasted ever since. Over the years, we’ve worked together on countless projects, spending thousands of hours discussing bait, fishing, and life itself.
So, when they told me they were bringing Cotswold Baits back, there was never any question in my mind that this was a journey I needed to be part of. I’m genuinely excited that they’ve given me the chance to join them on this path.
