The Original Scopex Squid

THE ORIGINAL SCOPEX SQUID

GARY BAYES × COTSWOLD BAITS

A LEGEND REBORN - THIS IS NOW A CORE PRODUCT - IT IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE…

There are baits that catch carp. And then there are baits that become part of carp-fishing history.

Scopex Squid is one of them.

Created by Gary Bayes and developed into one of the most iconic bait combinations the carp world has ever seen, the original Scopex Squid went on to build an extraordinary reputation across the UK and Europe.

Now, decades after the original made its mark, Gary Bayes has joined forces with Cotswold Baits for a very special collaboration – bringing the unmistakable original Scopex Squid profile back to where it belongs.

All in aid of Lucy’s Bowl.

This isn’t an interpretation of a classic.

This is Gary Bayes’ Scopex Squid.

Built around the legendary combination of squid, Scopex and that unmistakable rich, savoury squid profile that made the original so devastating, this brings together Gary’s lifetime of knowledge with Cotswold Baits philosophy and decades of crafting the best baits out there.

A bait with a history very few can rival – including Gary’s capture of the British Record, Two Tone from Conningbrook at 61lb 2oz, a carp that incredibly fell to Scopex Squid on multiple occasions.
